15 December, 2019 10.00AM. ILFORD GALERIE Shijiazhuang (石家庄) is officially opened today. It is a professional fine art gallery located in the exhibition hall of Binnan Garden LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP of the city. It served to attract photography and art lovers domestically and internationally.
In conjunction with the opening, works from Ilford Masters were displayed; all beautifully crafted and printed in Ilford Japan, on the archival quality Ilford fine art papers, mounted on museum grade boards. The main exhibition features works from Mr Liu Ruixin, the chairman of the B&W photography association of Hebei province, who shoots on Ilford black and white films to capture the series on “industrial relics”.
The excellent tonal reproduction, wide dynamic range and superior gamut of Ilford inkjet papers brings forth the artistic expression of the images, rendering the beautiful filmic tones of the traditional monochrome films from Ilford. The display of the prints has generated much interests and discussion among the photography groups in the city.
The inaugural exhibition shall run from 15 December, 2018 to 20 January, 2019. All are most welcome to visit and have a chat and discussion with the Ilford team at the gallery.
